Abstract: According to the reform experience of the organization，personnel，funds，security and equipment management of U.S.Geological Survey during the past ten years，it can concluded from the perspective of sustainable development that organization is an important carrier for sustainable development of geological survey；personnel is the lifeblood of the sustainable development of geological survey；funds is the foundation of sustainable development of geological survey；and device is the support for sustainable development of geological survey.Therefore，the enlightenment and suggestion for the sustainable development of geological survey of China includes that the organization should be adjusted to conform to the current situation，the soft environment of personnel can be strengthened effectively，and the budget of geological survey should be stabilized to optimize the key field.Besides that，strengthening the management and establishing extensive cooperation are also good choices.
