Abstract: In order to explore the influence of sulfur content on the minimum ignition energy of dust cloud in sulfide ores, three kinds of sulfide dust with different sulfur content in groups A,B and C were measured in 20 L explosion ball to determine the minimum ignition energy. The experimental data showed the minimum ignition energy by the ignition probability (whether or not the ignition),and the distribution curve of the ignition probability of the sulfide dust cloud with the ignition energy was obtained. The experimental results showed that the minimum ignition energy of each group of sulfide dust was described as follows:3~4 kJ in group A500,6~8 kJ in group B500,C500 group>12 kJ;2~3 kJ in group A300,4~6 kJ in group B300,group C300>12 kJ;2~3 kJ in group A200;6~8 kJ in group B200;group C200>12 kJ.The results show that the lower the sulfur content, the lower the minimum ignition energy, that is,the greater the risk of explosion is.
