Abstract: Based on the fault tree analysis of the roof falling accident in mine production systems，the various factors of causing cave-chip are found out，the qualitative analysis is carried out，and the importance of each event in roof can be determinedThrough the fault tree qualitative analysis（FTA)，the dangerous，harmful and serious consequences of accident can be evaluated to grasp the law of accident and to point out the responding preventive measures so as to eliminate accidents
