Abstract: Nano sized calcium carbonates of various shapes were prepared by tubular reactor and with limestone from different places of origin as the raw material and sodium sulfate as the crystal shape controller. The grains of Nano sized calcium carbonates are characterized by SEM and XRD. The research indicates that this process for producing nano sized calcium carbonates is characterized by low energy consumption，narrow size distribution and shape & grain size selectivity through choosing materials from proper places of origin，adding grain shape controller and changing the flow rate of carbon dioxide. Therefore，this process has strong market potential.
