Abstract: With No.1 and No.2 shaft in Wang'ershan Gold Mine as cases，the paper analyzed the failure mechanism of shaft and the influence factors resulted from collapse of mined-out area.And the current situation of shafts and mined-out areas were simulated numerically by the finite element numerical analysis method，which showed the distribution of surrounding rock's plastic zone in mined-out area，stress field，displacement field and the horizontal stress and displacement on the top of shaft lining.
