Abstract: Against the problems of ore grinding machine, because of the comparatively simplification of control model, low control precision and relatively poor efficiency and quality, a control model for a pre-grinding process is designed by fuzzy controlling algorithm.According to fuzzy control theory, two fuzzy controllers are designed on the basis of corresponding fuzzy rules of the feeding and the spindle speed, and a double-input and double-output fuzzy control system is formed after two fuzzy controllers are connect in parallel.Taking the RM500 pre-mill developed by Jiangxi University of Science and Technology as prototype, the simulation by Matlab shows that the pre-grinding system static and dynamic properties, adaptivity and robustness by fuzzy control are more superior than that of the conventional PID control. The pre-grinding experiment on tungsten ore indicates that working stability and product quality of the pre-mill are evidently improved by using fuzzy control system.
