Abstract: The mining conditions in No.92 orebody of Tongkeng Mine are complicated with a wide range of potential fire accident area. Based on the characteristics and law of roof caving in multilayer orebody mining,a reasonable mining sequence for residual ore is developed. The block caving mining technology is characterized by bundle-holes with large parameters, the drilling chamber arranged into tunnel, and high-layer stoping and large and thick roof-exposing caving as well. In industrial tests, the production capacity reaches 2 237t/d with the dilution rate of 13.5% and the loss rate of 9%.
