Abstract: The toxic and harmful gases in mine refuge chamber are analyzed and inspected，including CO₂，CO and smelling gases，and a filtering technique and filtering system for the toxic and harmful gases are proposed. With the use of soda lime adsorbent，ACO catalyst and activated carbon，the concentration of poisonous and harmful gases meets the requirement of mine refuge chamber during a series of individual tests and manned tests. The real and valid tests data verifies the filtering technology be feasible，thus providing a heathy environment for refuge staff at underground coal mine.
