Abstract: The blasting damage tests with different charge structure of the concrete model is made by combining ground-penetrating radar with ultrasonic. The results show that it is feasible to use the ground-penetrating radar for damage location of concrete blast, and the quantitative evaluation of blasting damage can also be obtained together with ultrasound technology. Concrete blast damage mainly appears in the initial location of the damage (defects),and is the result of the initial damage “growing up”. The damage area in ground-penetrating radar cross-sectional view show good correlation with the reduction of the acoustic wave speed before and after blasting.
