Abstract: By using the numerical simulation method，groups of simulation experiments with different parameter values have been carried out especially for four parameters including the distance，length，depth and width from ditch to blast hole. The simulation data reflects the influence of different parameters on damping effect of damp ditch. The simulation results indicated that: except for the width，the distance，length and depth from ditch to hole of damp ditch have significantly influence on the damping effect. The achievement is useful for proper use of damp ditch in engineering.
