Abstract: Based on the investigation of present situation of coal mining and water resource in Jining，the paper discusses the coal mining impacts on the content and quality of surface water and underground water，and describes the serious impact on water resources based on the water data of Jining. The related strategies to release the impact is proposed，hoping to provide a favorable information for governance and protection of the water environment in mining areas.
