Abstract: This paper establishes the rock-clay cementing and pumping backfill system combining with the actual situation in Baoshan mine.Seven of more than thirty groups of rock-clay cementing and pumping backfill materials are selected to make the strength test.Under the premise of meeting requirements on the mining process，pumpability and fill-body strength，yellow mud is adopted to replace 32% of the cement，with the final strength only decreasing 0.65 MPa （9.7%） and filling cost savings of 23.78 yuan/m3.
