Abstract: In order to provide a reference to the purification of remove the organic impurities from zinc lixivium by air flotation, the experiments on the simulated zinc lixivium with Zn2+ concentrate of 45 g/L,sodium oleate concentrate of 2×10-4 mol/L and pH value of 5.1 were carried out with the flotation column of φ35 mm×200 mm. The effects of flotation time, thickness of froth layer, superficial gas velocity on purification were investigated through single factor experiments and orthogonality experiments. The results showed that under conditions of the flotation time for 6 min, thickness of the froth layer of 1 cm and superficial gas velocity at 0.096 cm/s,the removal rate of sodium oleate was up to 91.69%,and the retention rate of Zn2+ reached 92.94%. Among these three factors, the air flotation time have the most significant influence on the removal rate, followed by the superficial gas velocity, and the thickness of the froth layer was relatively the least.
