Abstract: Based on introducing the mining conditions of the deposit in Houhemushan section of Gushan Mining Company，the joint of the pillarless sublevel caving method and the induced caving is determined as the mining method for the primary section of Hemushan deposit，and the induced caving with double working faces is as the mining plan. The larger structural parameters (stope structure parameters 15 m × 12.5 m for -150 m section，stope structure parameters 12.5 m × 12.5 m for -162.5 m section) and induced caving techniques are adopted to determine the construction order for mining preparation and the stoping sequence，and the mining engineering tests are carried out. The tunneling and supporting technical measures are proposed for the soft rocks for mining preparation to ensure the smooth progress of mining.
