Abstract: The Shangmian valley silicon mine with steeply inclined thick silica ore is chosen as the test base.Difficulties in exploration of mine silica ore are summarized through the study of geological structure, physical and mechanical properties and original mining scheme of mine. For the mining conditions in silica mine such as easy fragile, poor stability of ore roof and floor, the pillarless sublevel caving method is put forward. At the same time,a scheme that ores are remained at ore chute is proposed to reduce the secondary impact wear of ore.The production test of mine proved that the scheme was suitable for stoping of steeply inclined thick silica ore with good effect.
