Abstract: College of Resources and Civil Engineering,Northeastern University,Shenyang 110819,China A new anionic collector named DMY-1 was developed by Northeastern University to achieve a high recovery efficiently of fine cassiterite.In order to inspect the collecting performance，one flotation operation was carried out by utilizing fine pure cassiterite with mean volume diameter of 1771 μm as sample.The Zeta potential measurement and infrared spectrum analysis was conducted on the single cassiterite ore both before and after interaction with DMY-1，Recovery of 9450% was acquired at the optimum condition of pulp temperature 18 ℃，pH=9，the DMY-1 dosage of 200 mg/L，besides，good index can be obtained by using DMY-1 at various temperatures.There are hydrogen bond and chemical adsorption between DMY-1 and cassiterite surface.
