Abstract: The slope rock mass of Jinfeng Gold Mine is complex and fractured. It's different levels of landslides have occurred in the slopes of all directions. To ensure a safe, efficient and steep slope mining, numerical simulation on stability of slopes being mined was proposed. To investigate the slope displacement under mining disturbance,3 spots were set in the bottom, east and west of the numerical slope model respectively. It is found that the west slope was greatly influenced by mining through contrasting the 3 spots displacement from the 3D space. It was suggested to make main reinforcement and support for the west slope and protect the slopes by gravity retaining wall support.Related parameters of the retaining wall and slide-resistant piles were calculated. Then it is designed that the retaining wall be founded in the fractured area of the west 660~640 m RL slope. The results show that in the horizontal direction, the retaining wall can answer the requirement of protecting a steep slope mining when constructed as that linear load of the upper and lower wall is higher than 782 kN/m and 160 kN/m respectively, while shear linear load of the slide-resistant piles is higher than 471 kN/m.Under such circumstances, stability coefficient of anti-dump and anti-slide of the retaining wall are both greater than the retaining wall construction safety standards.
