Kinetics Research of Sulfuric Acid Leaching from Blast Furnace Flue Dust Containing Zinc

Abstract: In order to investigate the leaching kinetics of sulfuric acid leaching zinc from blast furnace flue dust,sulfuric acid leaching test was carried out on a blast furnace flue dust from Hebei.Effects of leaching temperature and sulfuric acid concentration on the leaching rate of zinc were investigated.With the leaching temperature increased and sulfuric acid concentration increased,zinc leaching rate gradually increased,and leaching rate decreased.By using Avrami dynamic model,simulation results of zinc leaching process show that when n was 0.160 4,flue dust acid leaching process was in accordance with Avrami dynamic model,the apparent activation energy was 10.02 kJ/mol,thus the process was controlled by diffusion.To improve leaching efficiency,diffusion effect should be reinforced.Increase sulfuric acid concentration or rise reaction temperature can accelerate the reaction process and mass transfer process in the solution,zinc leaching rate increased.The experimental results provide a theoretical basis for wet leaching kinetics and the followed research and production practice of solid waste resource recycle and reuse.
