Abstract: The geological boundary is not connected and geological content classification is not unified of the geological map produced by framing methods.According to the existing problems,a geological map edge matching method based on considering attributes elements is proposed.Based on comprehensive analysis of the spatial neighboring degree of geological elements and geological attribute similarity,the matching geological bodies are calculated by using the weight calculation functions of rough set and the classification function of cluster analysis method,therefore,the edge matching problems existed in the edge matching process of geological map can be solved effectively.The edge matching test based on three geological maps are conducted,the results show that compared with the traditional geological map edge matching method,the application range of the new method proposed in this paper is more large based on comprehensive consideration of the topological relations,spatial trends and geological properties of the matching geological body,besides that,the edge matching is more accurate and efficient than the traditional method,which is help for providing powerful support for the construction of large scale geological map seamless database.
