Abstract: Investigation on the deep reduction-magnetic separation technology of laterite-nickel ore in low grade and difficult enrichment deeply discussed the effect of reduction temperature, reduction time, carbon ratio, thickness of material-beds, and particle size of coal and ores on deep reduction and magnetic separation. It was obtained that under conditions of the reduction temperature at 1 275 ℃, reduction time for 60 min, the carbon coefficient of 3, material-beds thickness of 20 mm, coal particle size of -1.5 mm and ore particle size of -2 mm, nickel-iron products with the nickel and iron grade of 4.59% and 25.12% respectively were achieved by the magnetic separation after the reduction of laterite-nickel ore. Thus, it is shown that the deep reduction-magnetic separation plays a certain role in enrichment of nickel and iron for laterite-nickel ores.
