Abstract: In combination with the actual situation of Zhangmatun iron ore, and based on the virtual reality system software of Northeastern University, a three-dimensional scene was developed, including ground stratum, water-prevention curtain, orebodies, tunnels and stopes etc, which is a set of virtual mine system containing virtual roaming, database query and interactive control function. On this basis, in view of shortcomings of the domestic virtual mine technology, the virtual reality software was secondly developed to enhance the ability of integrating the external data, and realize the collection of the data information of visual microseismic monitoring, the stress and damage field of finite element calculation. Then, the joint interpretation and analysis of these three-dimensional data were made to evaluate the stability of surrounding rocks and position the hazardous area. This technology broadens the application field of virtual reality and improves its usefulness.
