Abstract: The paper analyzes the properties of a copper tailing of Jiangxi, and describes the process and equipment of rutile recovery from tailings. The optimal operating parameters of centrifugal concentrator, the type of reagents and the optimum dosage in flotation of rough concentrate from gravity separation were determined through tests. In the closed-circuit flotation process of one-roughing, two-scavenging, four-cleaning and medium ores back to the feed, the final concentrate with TiO₂ grade of 68.28% and total recovery of about 6.6% was obtained.
