Abstract: Based on geological condition of gently inclined and extremely thin iron mine, Hamming distance method is used to choose the primary proposal of mining method; Then considering such mining factors as the safety of mining, economic and technical index, mining efficiency, environmental effect and so on, the model of the index system and analytical hierarchy process which affect mining method choice is established.Both the evaluation matrix among various levels and the weight matrix of different influence factors are also obtained by the AHP method; At last, the Fuzzy decision mathematics model is built.And due to the maximum membership grade principle, the optimal proposal is determined.The research result shows that longwall mining method with hydraulic pressure frame supporting capping rock is the optimal mining proposal for the gently inclined and extremely thin iron mine.
