Abstract: Yangla copper deposit is of skarn-porphyry type and is characterized by ore-forming element pre-concentration in early (volcano) sedimentation setting and obvious multi-stage mineralization, involving a complex ore-forming process mainly with porphyry mineralization. The ore district has a good ore-hunting prospect and has great potentiality in the resource increase both within and around the district. The emphasis in the next stage ore-prospecting should be laid on the joint section between Linong and Lunong ore segments, the north extension of Jiangbian ore segment and the Beiwu, Nilu, Tongjige and Jiaren ore segments in the vicinity of the district and Geyading and Qulong zones.
