Abstract: To realize an optimized design of the multi-source water supply network for dust-proofing in mines, the reliability of network was evaluated and defined as surplus node head and network resilience. A multi-objective optimization model for the water supply network was set up based on both economic and reliability analysis and an improved genetic algorithm (IGA) was proposed for solving the model. With the water supply network system of Zhaogezhuang mine in Kailuan Group as the instance, the network optimization was made based on the highest and the average water consumption in multiple working modes, verifying the validity of this method.
