Abstract: Flocculant types and its applications in tailings settlement are described. Its development trend is analyzed and it is pointed out that popularization of tailings settlement by flocculation to realize a high concentration tailing transport and improve the water recycling rate is the development orientation of the tailings handling in China's concentrators.
