Abstract: The specific density, tensile strength, impact dynamic strength and intactness coefficient of rockmass are chosen as the criterion indices for rockmass Blastability classification. An attribute measurement model for the rockmass blastability classification-discrimination is established based on similar weights which are defined by similar figures and determined in accordance with objective standard for indices, and by using attribute recognition theory. The application method of the model and the classification-discrimination process of rockmass blastability are demonstrated by the specific discrimination of the test data of some rock samples. As the attribute recognition theory can well solve the comprehensive assessment for a kind of issues involving several fuzzy attributes, and the confidence criterion is proposed on the basis of ordered evaluation sets, the assessment results are more reliable. Meanwhile, as the assessment model adopts objective weights, the subjectivity and randomicity can be avoided in the weight determination, thus guaranteeing the objectivity and accuracy of the assessment.
