Abstract: According to the special characteristics of ore-body in Yulong Copper Mine, the traditional calculation methods for open-pit mining bottom width and depth are improved. As calculating the open-pit mining bottom width and depth of Yulong Copper Mine, the smallest bottom width is put on the lowest end of the orebody. With minimum bottom width increasing by the integer times, the stripping ratio at every increase is calculated out to find an economic reasonable one. Then, the reasonable open-pit mining bottom width and mining depth are achieved for Yulong Copper Mine.
