Abstract: Based on the general analysis and summary of core competence-related theories, the definition for the core competence of resource-type enterprises is proposed; through the analysis of the internal and external environment, resource and capacity of resource type enterprises, a set of assessment indicator system and assessment mode for the core competence of resource-type enterprises are set up; and through the case study of a mining enterprise, the effectiveness of the proposed assessment model is validated and the cultivation mode for the core competence specific to this enterprise is proposed.
