Abstract: A Yunnan tin-containing magnetite ore contains 42.83% iron mainly in magnetite and 0.57% tin mainly in cassiterite. Beneficiation test was made on this ore using a combined process of low intensity magnetic separation and table concentration, and obtained three products: iron concentrate grading 66.01% with an iron recovery of 83.03%; tin concentrate No.1 grading 41.95% with a tin recovery of 17.54%; and tin concentrate No.2. grading 8.28% with a tin recovery of 15.79%, which can be sent to the smelter for recovering Sn by fuming process. The test results have laid a foundation for the exploitation and utilization of this deposit.
