Abstract: Mining software has become one of the four conditions in mining cycle process and is the only way for realizing mining informatization and improving the efficiency of exploration, design, production and management. The paper, in light of the application features of both domestic and foreign mining softwares, points out the functional characteristics that mining softwares should have in actual application and illustrate in an explorative way of the future development orientation of mining softwares.
