Abstract: Packed flotation machine is a new type one formed by packing stainless steel corrugated plates in a common flotation machine. To investigate its adaptability, experiment was made on the floatability of various types of ore samples. The copper ore flotation by the packed flotation machine is mainly described in the paper. The result indicates that it is not only feasible to use packed flotation machine for the processing of copper ore, but also its recovery is better than that by common flotation machines.
