Abstract: The effect of roasting temperature and time, and kind of sodium agent and proportioning on the roasting of Panzhihua V-Fe concentrate was studied. It is found that the best conditions for the roasting are: roasting temperature of 1 300 ℃, roasting time of 120 min, and Na2CO3 content of 6%. The results show that the recovery of vanadium extraction from V-Fe concentrate by sodium roasting and leaching is higher than that by pyrogenic process, and the vanadium leaching rate can be 86.91%.
