Abstract: The paper studies the integral technology of the multi-element recovery and utilization of the slags from cyanidation for gold extraction and the iron powder concentrate generation by direct roasting of sulfur concentrate from the flotation of copper tailings. It is found through flotation roasting tests that under appropriate process conditions, the effective recovery of multiple valuable elements in the cyanidation slags can be achieved and it is expected to realize the production of qualified iron powder concentrate by direct roasting of high grade pyrite ore at industrial scale. A lead concentrate grading 30.29% at a recovery of 70.12%, a zinc concentrate grading 41.19% at a recovery of 74.93%, a copper concentrate grading 7% and a sulfur concentrate grading 40%~50% can finally be obtained. When the pyrite feed to the roaster has the optimal grade and size and the oxygen enrichment degree is the best, an iron concentrate powder grading over 65% can be obtained, providing a new way for the gold industry to develop toward waste-free direction.
