Abstract: A technique for detecting concealed deposits using not only element concentrations (comprehensive chemical composition data of whole sample analysis) but also geogas particle characteristics can provide more direct and abundant information about the concealed ore bodies. The technique proposed and studied by the author is a new prospecting method with the greater success rate and deeper probing depth. It can be used in quickly distinguishing the anomalies related to mineral deposits from those irrelative and predicting the deep-seated mineralization type and the scale and depth of concealed ore body.In addition to searching metal ores and oil-gas accumulations, it can also be used to forecast concealed fault structures. Its application will help speed up the resource exploration and development and eliminate the shortage of China's resources, thus brining good economic and social benefits.
