Abstract: The wastewater containing copper, zinc and cadmium ions was treated by ferrite process. The main technical parameters of the process were discussed and the effect of pH, temperature, Fe3+ and Fe2+ dosage and additive on the treatment result was investigated. The experiment shows that the optimum treatment conditions include a temperature of 70 ℃, addition ratios of Fe3+/Fe2+ and Fe2+/Mn2+ of 1.5 and 10mg/mg, respectively, pH value of 9 and additive dosage of 1.2 g/L, enabling the wastewater containing copper, zinc and cadmium irons to reach the requirements for discharge after the treatment.
