Abstract: In view of the fact that a great number of pillars were remained at 1158m sub-level in the west mine section of Rongguan Mining's multi-metal mine and also of the transition due to the mining method change in the late period, based on a careful analysis of the geological features, recovery plan, blasting parameters, blasting plan and construction plan, a rational plan was worked out for the pillar recovery, thus creating favorable conditions for the mining below 1158 sublevel by non-pillar sublevel caving.
