Abstract: A sulfide-oxidized Cu-Co mixed ore has a high oxidation ratio and contains a large amount of carbonaceous mud and a good comprehensive recovery can't be achieved when it is treated by conventional flotation methods.Pr-desliming by flotation was therefore adopted first to eliminate the influence of carbonaceous mud on the flotation process and then asynchronous flotation was used to treat Cu-Co sulfide ore and oxidized Cu-Co ore.Sulfidizing agent was used to enhance the flotation of oxidized Cu-Co ore.As a result, a Cu-Co concentrate assaying Cu 21.2% at a recovery of as high as 88.55% and Co 0.116% at a recovery of 31.39%was produced from a feed ore containing Cu 2.63%, Co 0.04% and C 6.63%.It is also found that sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) is more beneficial than sodium sulfide(Na2S) when used as a sulfidizing agent to activate the oxidized Cu-Co ore in flotation.
