Abstract: The sedimentary high phosphorus hematite deposit in Western Hubei Province has a property of thin ore-bodies, slow dip, steady and huge ore reserves etc.If adopting the conventional technology and equipment to recover this type of deposits, it is difficult to realize a large-scale exploitation.To this end, the original mining design scheme is improved, proposing a comprehensive optimization program of dividing the mining field into panels, building a dump truck-based pit transport system, and setting the ore loading chambers.Then, the ore transport level (1 370 m) of the motor vehicle and the ore-drawing system of chute vibration are cancelled.These improvements can not only lower the infrastructure of 16 076.54 m³ and the investments of 10.19 million yuan, but also improve the ventilation conditions of pit transport.Hence, the production costs are lowered and the coordination and flexibility of production are enhanced, and it provides a guarantee for the safety production.
