Abstract: In order to analyze the effects on the laws of overlying strata destruction by changes of the compression rate of backfilling gangue, the FLAC3D was used to make a numerical simulation on the gangue backfilling mining on a mine in Yanzhou.Numerical results indicat that the movement and deformation of gangue backfilling mining are similar to that of the caving mining in thin coal. The smaller the compression rate is,the better the effect of controlling surface subsidence is.When the compression rate increases, the extremum of surface subsidence, levels of mobility, tilt value and deformation will linearly increase. The destruct height of overlying strata is linearly correlation with the compression rate of gangue backfilling.
