Abstract: The difference of metal and nonmetal mine safety and health standards between China and the United States is found out by comparing the background，structure and revised approach of technical indicators of metal and nonmetal mine safety and health standards between China and the United States.Then based on the comparison and the actual production of metal and nonmetal mines in China，the specific recommendations to modify them are proposed，thus providing some reference for the metal and nonmetal mine safety regulations-setting work of China in the future.
