Abstract: The bioleaching of a kind of low grade sulphide ores was studied used a mixed culture of acidophilic microorganisms in a stirred tank reactor.RT-PCR(real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction) was used to identify the structure of the communities during bioleaching process. The results revealed that the bioleaching efficiency of Cu up to 85.66% in 20 d,and the acid-leaching without inocula only 24.43%.The bioleaching efficiency was up to 79.50% after 12 d bioleaching.At.ferrooxidans was the dominant with increase of Eh and decrease of Fe2+ during the leaching time from 2 to 12 d.After 12 d,At.thiooxidans gradually increased to replace At.ferrooxidans with the leaching rate decreased. Moreover,Mantel test indicated that the structure of the community were significantly correlated with Cu and Fe.
