Abstract: Hydrogeological and environmental problems, such as water inrush, depletion of groundwater resources, and karst subsidence, present in metal karst mine in south China. The principle of groundwater system is used to guide the mine water prevention and control, thus identifying the boundaries of karst water system, the internal structure and the relationship between system and environment. It can make hydrogeological work more directional and objective.New technologies and methods such as automatic monitoring of groundwater level,high-precision automatic tracer test,three-dimensional visualization of hydrogeological information management are adopted to identify such key hydrogeological problems as river seepage, karst water run-off channels.Hence, lots of labors, physical resources, and funds investments can be saved.
