Abstract: Taken the similar material simulation techniques as the main research tools, the law of rock deformation, stress and damage effects of different structural parameters of under sublevel mining subsequent filling was studied with the total station, strain gauges and digital cameras. The law of roof damage was also mentioned. The major results are: the Daye iron ore stope's reasonable structural parameters were revealed; the stress in the roof is shear stress, which in the pillar is compressive stress; roof stability is the key factor for the stope, which should ensure the contaction between the roof and filling body after filling the goaf; the caractor of the stope stress distribution is contrary to the direction of mining, which is lean to the first mining ore block.
