Abstract: The process mineralogy of the mica mineral in Zhumadian Henan Province was studied by chemical analysis, polarizing microscope, X-ray diffraction and other testing methods. The results indicate that the mica mineral has the high concentration of SiO2 and Fe2O3, objective mineral is muscovite, and most of the gangue mineral are quartz and biotite.Fine tourmaline exists in the mica layer.According to the process mineralogy, the minerals which are only crushed and screened can't be used, and complex mineral separation must be carried out.The mineral processing technology is which biotite and tourmaline can be removed by magnetic separation, quartz can be removed by flotation, and may be treated by peeling .
