Abstract: Toushishan tailing pond is a proposed new tailing pond.According to the specification requirements，it is identified as second class tailing pond，and requires the hydraulic model test on the flood discharge structures.Through the model test，the rationality of flood discharge structure's types and dimensions of tailings pond is verified.According to the test results，the structure parameters which can satisfy the requirements are put forward，thus providing a basis for the design of tailings pond.
