Abstract: On the basis of studying mineralized geologic environment，geologic feature and metallogenic regularity of the Gejiu Tin deposit located in Yunnan province，and Landsat TM multispectral image data used as basic information source，the remote sensing prospecting is adopted to extract geologic structure information and alteration anomaly information of Gejiu deposit. Then，with comprehensive use of the achievements in geological，geophysical and geochemical exploration，and combining with the field survey，three kinds of (9 in total) ore-prospecting areas are delineated.
