Abstract: The uniaxial and triaxial test under the action of different temperature (20,200 and 800 ℃) and the uniaxial test under temperature cycling are carried out by rock mechanics testing system RMT-150C. The mechanical properties of marble under the influence of different temperature and temperature cycling are analyzed systematically. The results showed that as the temperature increases, the marble characterizes as significantly plastic deformation, elastic modulus reducing and peak strain increasing. Compared with the samples at room temperature, the cohesion of the samples increases and its internal friction angle decreases after suffering 200 ℃; while the cohesion of the sample suffered 800 ℃decreases and its internal friction angle is the same as the samples at room temperature. The peak strength and elastic modulus of the sample decrease under increasing cycle heating times (200 ℃). As the temperature increases, longitudinal wave velocity decreases in different degrees. Compared with single heating, longitudinal wave speed decreases while the number of circulating heated adding, but the reduction is small. Both failure modes of samples at room temperature and those of samples suffered 200 ℃show single macroscopic cross-section shear failure; Part of the sample suffered 800 ℃ have many rupture surface; The temperature cycles does not have significant effect on the rupture form of the rock sample.
