Abstract: A certain copper ore in Guangxi has the copper oxidation rate of more than 27%, and contains about 1% of the carbonaceous matter. It belongs to the refractory semi-oxidized copper ore.The direct flotation process at room temperature was selected to handle this kind of ore by the concentrator, and copper concentrate with the copper grade of only about 18% and recovery of less than 60% was obtained. In order to provide the basis for transformation of the on-site process, and taking sodium sulfide as vulcanizing agent and the combination of butyl xanthate + DY as collector, experiments of the preliminary decarburization and heat vulcanization process at 60 ℃ were carried out, obtaining copper concentrate grading at 20.57% with Cu recovery of 62.75%.Compared with the on-site production, the beneficiation indicators have been significantly improved.
