Abstract: The returning air shaft in north of Xishimen iron mine has collapsed,the ventilation roadways in the central part have been destructed,and all original ventilation roadway at the middle section from 40m to 80m in the south of the mine have been totally destroyed,resulting that the ventilation system in each district became worse and worse. The poor ventilation system and the smoke generated by bombing threaten the life and health of the staff and also seriously influence to the safety production of the mine. Based on the exact measurement of the wind pressure,wind speed,temperature and humidity of the ventilation system of the underground mine and its roadway parameters,the ventilation status quo of the iron ore is specifically analyzed and the diagram of ventilation system and ventilation network are drawn to calculate the ventilation parameters and to determine the ventilation reforming program. The reforming program is based on the actual conditions of current mining activities and roadway layout in Xishimen Iron Mine. At the same time,the reforming program takes full consideration of the deep tunnel planning,and facilitates to joint the deep ventilation program with the current ventilation program together. It involves the factors of roadway layout,ventilation systems,ventilation facilities and equipment,the mining conditions,tunneling,the planning of overall mine,the exploitation plan and the relay planning etc.
